Our History
The DVHRC was founded in 1992 by Jay Daveler and a small group of radio enthusiasts from the Philadelphia area. The first meeting was held on February 4, 1992 and hosted by Tony Mollettiere at his business, North Penn Amusements in Souderton, PA. Thirteen people attended including Jay Daveler (President), Larry Hilgner (Vice-president), John Kern (Treasurer), Tony Mollettiere (Secretary) and his wife Sylvia, Pete and Jan Grave, Arnold Finkel and his wife, Mike Koste and Charlie Class. Shortly thereafter, meetings were moved to their current location, the Telford Community Center in Telford, PA.
Kutztown Show
Since the mid 1990's, the DVHRC has hosted the Kutztown Radio Show at Renninger's Antiques and Farmer's Market in Kutztown, PA, an ideal location with plenty of covered space, parking and a nearby Farmer's Market with food and other attractions. The show is held twice each year, in May and September, and has grown into the premier radio & vintage audio event in the country, attracting collectors and dealers from across the United States & Canada
